An electrophysiology treatment that cauterizes (burns) cells to eliminate rhythm abnormalities. This treatment for irregular heartbeat, or arrhythmia, involves the insertion of a thin flexible tube called a catheter into the heart. A special machine delivers energy through the catheter to tiny areas of the heart muscle that cause the abnormal heart rhythm.
