Both Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines are available locally for children ages 6 months through 5 years of age via the state-run vaccine clinic being operated by Cataldo Ambulance at the Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus located at One Hospital Drive in Lowell. Cataldo will be adding more days in order to accommodate the increased demand. On Thursday, May 12, hospital leadership celebrated the accomplishments of our Patient Care Services team at the annual Nursing Excellence Awards held at Vesper Country Club in Tyngsboro, MA. The event, held during Nurses Week, honors those who exemplify the unwavering commitment to patient care that is a hallmark of the nursing profession. Honorees were nominated for the award by their peers. In addition, Lowell General presents the Florence Nightingale Award to a nurse who emulates the enduring symbol of Florence Nightingale herself and represents the mission, hopes and expectations of the nursing profession to its members and to the world at large.
