Lowell General Hospital Resumes Scheduling Vaccine Appointments

Mass COVID-19 vaccination site - exterior shot

Lowell General Hospital announced that it has received additional vaccine and direction from the state to resume scheduling for COVID-19 vaccinations at its site located at Cross River Center, 1001 Pawtucket Boulevard East in Lowell.

The site can vaccinate those eligible in the state’s phased rollout plan, which currently includes people in Phase 1 as well as those over the age of 75 years old. While vaccine supply remains limited, Lowell General’s site is currently equipped to deliver as many as 800 doses per day at its location based on its current vaccine allocation. Those eligible can schedule a vaccination appointment at www.lowellgeneralvaccine.com.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer this vital resource to our community, and are eager to vaccinate as many people currently eligible to receive the vaccine as quickly as possible,” says Jody White, President and CEO of Circle Health and Lowell General Hospital. “We strongly encourage all eligible to get vaccinated against COVID-19 to help stop the spread of this dangerous virus.”

Lowell General Hospital’s vaccination program is currently not able to offer vaccines to companions of its age 75+ patients. Those interested in accessing companion vaccination are encouraged to visit the Massachusetts vaccine website www.mass.gov/covidvaccine or dial 211 to reach the state’s call center.
