Lowell General Hospital Executive Takes State and Local Leadership Positions
Winfield S. Brown, Vice President of Administration for Lowell General Hospital was elected President of the Healthcare Management Association of Massachusetts. HCMA is a professional association providing executive-level managers of healthcare institutions with opportunities for professional collegiality and continuing education. HCMA is an independent chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is the premier association in New England for healthcare executives with more than 600 members.
Brown was recently elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lowell, an organization which he has served for the past four years.
Brown earned his B.A. in Economics at Bates College and a Masters in Healthcare Administration at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management. He also holds an M.S. in Business from Husson College.
In addition to his leadership in the HCMA, Brown is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell and serves on the board of d'Youville Senior Care.
