This six-week prepared childbirth class, offered in the evenings, provides information about the physical and emotional changes occurring during pregnancy, labor, and delivery. The course includes breathing and relaxation techniques, comfort techniques, medication and anesthesia options for labor and delivery. Infant care issues and the adjustment to parenthood will also be discussed. A tour of The Birthplace is included. Classroom teaching includes videos, demonstrations, and discussions.
Who Should Enroll?
Expectant couples should enroll in a class that ends one-two months before due date. Support person is strongly encouraged to attend. No children are allowed.
Fee covers the expectant mom, the support person and all materials.
Insurance Reimbursement and Financial Assistance
Many insurance companies offer reimbursement for attending childbirth education classes. Proof of payment and a letter of completion are often required. Letters are given out at the end of each class. Check with your insurance company to see if your plan offers reimbursement.

May pay by credit card at time of enrollment or pay by check, money order, or cash at time of class. Some exceptions apply.
