Delicious Dishes, Susan Wornick Highlight Auxiliary’s Taste of the Town
The 33rd annual Taste of the Town once again featured some of the top chefs and favorite dishes from across Greater Lowell to benefit the Lowell General Hospital Auxiliary.
The event, held on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the UMass Inn and Conference Center, was hosted by special guest Susan Wornick, the Emmy-award winning Boston news broadcaster and consumer reporter.
Along with the creative cuisine from a dozen restaurants, food service and catering companies, guests were treated to a live auction, silent auction and raffle baskets.
This year’s People’s Choice Awards were awarded to: Chowder Factory (Butternut Squash Soup) for Best Appetizer; Two Chefs Are Better Than One (Southern Fried Chicken over a Loaded Potato Croquette with Creamy Buttermilk Gravy) for Best Entrée; and Sodexo (Zabaglione with Fresh Berries and Homemade Whipped Cream) for Best Dessert. Two Chefs Are Better Than One Catering won the Chairman’s Choice Award for Best Presentation.
