Ring in spring with the Lowell General Hospital Auxiliary’s annual fundraiser!
Through the sales of daffodils, desserts and gift baskets, the event raises money to provide comfort and healing to cancer patients and their families. Be sure to stop by and show your support of this traditional springtime event.
The Lowell General Hospital Auxiliary would like to thank all hospital employees and visitors who supported Daffodils and Desserts Day on Thursday, March 21 at the main and Saints campuses.
Daffodils have become a symbol of hope for cancer patients. Net proceeds totaled $6,400 from the sale of daffodils, plants, baked goods and arrangements, and will be donated to the Cancer Center at Lowell General Hospital.
The amount raised was a new record for this annual event. This money will be used to purchase new chairs for the infusion room at the Cancer Center. The Auxiliary will also be purchasing gift cards to provide cancer patients with Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.
Thank you to everyone who made the day so successful and to all staff members for your generosity and support to benefit our cancer patients.
A bunch of daffodils costs $10, and a pot of daffodils with three multi-stem bulbs costs $12.
Preorders for daffodils are being taken Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 5:00pm by calling the Saints campus gift shop at 978-934-8499 (ext. 48499) through Friday, March 15, 2019.
Flowers will be available for pick up on the day of the event. We will also deliver to our satellite locations if there are at least 10 orders placed from that location.
