Frequently Asked Questions

Pain Management Center FAQs

If you are presently under the care of a physician for your pain and/or pain-related problem, you should discuss a referral to the Pain Management Center with your physician. Once it is decided that the center is appropriate, your physician should send us a letter describing your pain problem and, to avoid duplication, include an outline of any previous medications, tests, X-rays and treatments.

We accept most insurance plans. Please contact us if you have questions about insurance coverage.

Please bring any medical records or X-ray reports you have related to your pain, a list of medications you are on and any information you have related to health insurance coverage to your appointment.

You will be asked to complete a questionnaire about your medical history and pain, and will be examined and evaluated. An individualized treatment plan will be developed for you relating to the nature of your pain. Treatment will be performed at Lowell General Hospital on an outpatient basis.
