Imaging Services and Radiology FAQs
All radiology tests require a physician's orders and your doctor will provide you with the information you need to arrange for your appointment with us.

A CD of your images may be picked up at Lowell General Hospital seven days a week
How to Request Image CD

Please provide:
Your full name
Your date of birth
Date the exam was done
Type of exam your are requesting
Body part (if you have had more than one test)
Preference for pick-up location:
Health Information (Medical Records) Department if you will be picking them up more than 24 hours after the request or Radiology Department
Name of the doctor you are bringing the films/CD to
Monday-Friday, 6:30am - 8:00pm
Saturdays, 7:30am - 5:00pm
Sundays, 7:30am - 4:00pm
In order to pick up your imaging CD, you must present a photo ID (driver's license, passport, or other state or federal-issued identification). If you are having someone pick up the CD for you, send a note stating you are releasing your medical records to the person picking them up for you. You can also fax in any request in writing to: 978-937-6708 with all the information that's needed as listed above.
Radiology/X-Ray Department
CDs are available for immediate pick-up at the reception desk in the X-Ray/Radiology Department. This is located on the Ground Floor of the Hanchett Building.
Patient Service Center
If you make a request for films/CD with more than 24 hours notice, you may pick them up at the PSC Radiology Reception desk on the Ground Floor of the Dahod Building.
