Gil and Marilyn Campbell Intensive Care Unit
The Gil and Marilyn Campbell Intensive Care Unit opened in 2017. This new 12,000 square feet unit, located directly underneath the existing ICU, created an additional 11 beds, allowing us to provide care for our sickest patients close to home. The renovation includes an outbound family corridor, which gives families separate, private access to patient rooms. This area is vital for families in helping to provide a quiet healing environment for loved ones, as well as in maintaining privacy and easing the stress of coping with serious illness.
In addition, there will also be a new 5,500 square foot Healing Garden in the adjacent outdoor space. It will be a reflective place to offer peace and tranquility while providing a quiet, meditative area to ease the stress of illness. The garden will have a labyrinth, bench seating, and flowing gardens to be enjoyed by its visitors.
This project would not have been possible without the generosity of the Campbell family and countless other members of our community, who cumulatively have raised over $1.5mm to support this project.
