Become a Volunteer

Volunteers play a vital role at Lowell General Hospital. Each year they provide thousands of hours of service for the hospital. We welcome you to join us in helping to serve our patients, their loved ones and the professional staff who care for them. Being a volunteer at Lowell General Hospital is a commitment, but one that is met with many rewards. Please read about our three volunteer tracks below before deciding to apply.

About Our Program

At Lowell General Hospital, we have three volunteer tracks. Full descriptions of each track and how to apply, are below. We do not have summer programs or shadow programs. We instead focus on three volunteer tracks with long-term opportunities which give each volunteer a chance to dive deep into the healthcare experience. This approach allows volunteers to build relationships with staff, learn about different careers in healthcare and finish the program with an enriching experience that lasts a lifetime.
