TULIP Awards

Thankful, Unique, Lasting, Impressionable Patient Care

Tufts Medicine Lowell General Hospital has implemented the TULIP Award to recognize deserving nursing assistants and technicians who assist in direct patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings. The nominated individuals are noted for going above and beyond in taking care of patients as their skills and dedication exemplify the kind of staff who should be recognized as outstanding role models.

TULIP recipients will be awarded with a sculpture, certificate, and tulip pin.

This special award first originated at the Detroit Medical Center Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan in 2008. Similar to the DAISY Award, the TULIP Award has been a popular form of staff recognition in many hospitals and health centers across the United States.
