Light the Way

December 17, 2021

Thanks to all who helped us Light the Way in the courtyard entrances at both MelroseWakefield Hospital and Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford as a tribute to our Healthcare Heroes.

Thanks to all who helped us Light the Way in the courtyard entrances at both MelroseWakefield Hospital and Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford as a tribute to our Healthcare Heroes. With a rise in cases this fall, we recognize our caregivers and staff have been serving the frontlines of this pandemic for 18+ months providing care for patients and families while juggling their own personal responsibilities. Working tirelessly each and every day, they are our true heroes. This illumination is a symbol of community support and solidarity for our caregivers, while also raising vital funds to support programs and equipment so that we may better serve our patients.

Thank you to our many donors and community partners who today paid tribute to our Healthcare Heroes at our Light the Way event. Funded by their generous donations and support, we illuminate our hospital campuses in their honor and as a symbol of community support. The day’s weather brought added brightness to the event that included holiday treats and the beautiful sounds of Wakefield High School’s a cappella group Voices of Steel. Thank you to our more than 20 sponsors for making this day special.
