CTSI Program Graduates

On November 17, 2021, Dr. Fernanda Alvarado, post-doc in the MIRI O’Tierney-Ginn lab (pictured standing, third from left), graduated from the inaugural cohort of the Blue Star Investigator Certificate Program. Eleven clinicians from across Tufts Medical Center completed this eight-week program designed to develop junior investigators' skills in the nuts and bolts of designing and running a clinical trial. Departments represented by the learners included: anesthesiology, endocrinology, hematology/oncology, Mother Infant Research Institute, pathology, pediatrics, rheumatology, and surgery.

The program was designed and developed by Tufts CTSI's Regulatory, Research Process Improvement and Professional Education Teams, and featured 19 staff from across Tufts CTSI, Tufts Medical Center and Tufts University as content experts and guest speakers.
