Endoscopy Center Recognized for Delivering High-Quality Patient Care

The Endoscopy Center has been granted a three-year recognition renewal for quality and safety on behalf of the ASGE. The ASGE program is specifically dedicated to promoting quality in all settings where endoscopy is practiced in the United States. The Endoscopy Center is one of more than 400 endoscopy units to be granted the recognition since 2009.

The Endoscopy Center is a dedicated state-of-the-art unit for therapeutic and diagnostic procedures for gastrointestinal and lung conditions. The Endoscopy Center has an expert team of board-certified gastroenterologists and a nursing team with decades of experience in endoscopic procedures. The team is focused on delivering superior and compassionate care and support to patients who are undergoing an endoscopy procedure.

The ASGE Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program honors endoscopy units that have demonstrated a commitment to patient safety and quality in endoscopy. The program’s rigorous criteria includes following the ASGE guidelines on privileging, quality assurance, endoscope reprocessing, CDC infection control guidelines and ensuring endoscopy staff competency. Another important component of the program is an educational course entitled, Improving Quality and Safety in Your Endoscopy Unit, which thoroughly reviews related guidelines. The ASGE recertification reflects the unit’s commitment to the highest quality standards.
