ANCC Accredited Practice Transition Program

August 18, 2020

The Lowell General Hospital Nurse Residency Program has been accredited, for a second four-year term, as a Practice Transition Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs.

Our New Graduate Nurse Residency is now accredited in the areas of Medical-surgical, Step-down, Pediatrics and Emergency room nursing.

The ANCC Practice Transition Accreditation Program® (PTAP) sets the global standard for residency or fellowship programs that transition registered nurses (RNs) into new practice settings. The Lowell General Hospital Nurse Residency program demonstrates excellence in transitioning nurses to new practice settings.
