Women's Health Physical Therapy

Women’s health physical therapy focuses on treating dysfunctions of the pelvis that can lead to bowel and bladder incontinence, pelvic pain and can impair sexual health.

Lindsay Davis, PT, DPT, Women’s Health Therapist, specializes in treatment of women’s pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse. Treatment includes a thorough evaluation of the pelvic floor muscles to determine muscle control and to identify which muscles are weak, tight or painful. Women’s health physical therapy consists of education and exercises to strengthen, stretch, and relax the pelvic floor, abdomen, spine, and hip. Biofeedback, manual therapy, and electrotherapy are popular tools used during treatment.
Mrs. Davis has completed Level One coursework on Pelvic Floor Function, Dysfunction, and Treatment through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She has her Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from Fitchburg State College and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from Husson University. Her clinical interests include sports rehabilitation and women’s health.
