The Auxiliary’s 30th Annual Taste of the Town Raised $70K for Lowell General Hospital's new Intensive Care Unit

The Lowell General Hospital Auxiliary’s 30th Annual Taste of the Town went off in style on Sunday, October 23. 2016 as more than 350 guests raised over $70,000 for Lowell General Hospital’s new Intensive Care Unit.

Billy Costa at 2016 Taste of the TownThe evening featured amazing culinary creations from some of Merrimack Valley’s finest chefs, caterers and restaurants, as well as music from the Richie Dee Quartet. The event got some added flair from special guest, radio and television personality Billy Costa. Costa interviewed each restaurant, led the evening’s live auction and even donated a special auction item — a group tour of the Kiss 108 studios and a chance to announce a song on iHeart Radio’s Top 30 Countdown.

The evening’s prize-winning dishes were: 

Chairman’s Choice and Best Appetizer – Sautéed shrimp over butternut risotto, Two Chefs are Better than One Best Entrée – Strip sirloin, Tavern at Lenzi’s Best Dessert – Tirumasu trifle, Evviva Cucina
  • Best Appetizer: sautéed shrimp over butternut risotto by Two Chefs are Better than One
  • Best Entrée: strip sirloin by Tavern at Lenzi’s 
  • Best Dessert: tirumasu trifle by Evviva Cucina
