Many Voices Make Up the Merrimack Valley Moms Blog

No family is the same, but sharing parenting tips, advice and recommendations are still great ways to learn new ideas. We're thrilled to have nine moms from the region sharing their posts on the new Merrimack Valley Mom Blog:

Sue: a home-schooling mom of six who is also a grandmother
Kristen: mother-infant unit nurse and mom to twins
Jessica: a self-proclaimed "worrywart" and radio DJ
Dawn: mother of three college-age girls and a 9-year-old son who faces a chronic illness
Heddi: mom to two lively boys, ages 4 years and 4 months, with a passion for exercise and healthy eating
Sandy: psychologist with real-life parenting experience
Tiffany: recently back to work after the birth of her second child, she keeps her sense of humor
Sabina: readily shares recommendations on things to do and places to see
Amy: reminds us to enjoy the truly meaningful things in life
Meredith: a thirty-something first-time mom juggling motherhood with full-time work

Together these women (and sometimes their partners) share a variety of topics and points
of view.

Words of Wisdom

The Merrimack Valley Moms Blog has been very active for just over a year, with nearly 22,000 visitors checking out local, mom-specific posts from featured area bloggers selected from an annual contest.

Posts about local, kid-friendly restaurants and movies, childcare, summer camps, schools, community events

Each featured blogger writes at least one post a month. The topics vary greatly, depending on the personalities of the bloggers and their range of daily experiences in the community. Some of their blog posts will come in the form of video posts. The bloggers meet in person every other month at 'blogger brunches' to share ideas and brainstorm upcoming topics.
