Outreach Services

Outreach Services

Along with your Primary Care Physician (PCP), collaboration and referrals to other local agencies and services such as WIC, SNAP, Early Intervention, Head Start or school nurse may be made, if appropriate, to ensure children receive the specialized therapy they require without duplication of services. Inservice and education programs for medical, nursing, professional staffs and community groups are also available.

Follow-up Appointments

Recommendations may include direct intervention, consultation with other service providers, and if needed, medical tests. Follow up visits are scheduled based on the unique needs of your family. This may include observation of your child eating.  Sometimes you may be asked to feed your child or videotape your child eating at home.  In addition, staff  may conduct home visits or visit your child in his or her daycare setting.

Undernutrition at any age affects future behavior and learning potential. The earlier that help begins, the better. Some children have problems eating and growing.  Feeding difficulty is a complex problem, involving medical, developmental, nutritional and psychological factors.  Please don’t hesitate to ask for help with feeding issues or growth problems.

The Pediatric Growth and Nutrition Clinic is located at the Saints campus, Fourth Floor, Sullivan Building.
