Radiology is an important part of medicine today, helping doctors to diagnosis or detect abnormalities in bone, tissue and other internal parts of your body. It may also be used in helping to deliver precise types of medicine, or treatment to areas inside the body.
Lowell General Hospital has received two three-year accreditations for imaging services including Breast Ultrasound and Computed Tomography following a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field.
All radiology tests require a physician's orders and your doctor will provide you with the information you need to arrange for your appointment with us.
