Tuesday Evening Childbirth Readiness Series

This three-part series will describe the stages and phases of labor, provide information about comfort techniques and pain management options and will cover common medical interventions. We will also cover postpartum recovery, parental adjustment and provide information about local parenting resources. A tour is included during the in-person session.

Baby Care Basics (In-person)

This 2-hour, in-person class is team taught by a local pediatrician and a certified childbirth educator. The class will focus on teaching new parent skills, such as diapering, feeding and bathing. We will address safe sleep, childhood illnesses, choosing a pediatrician and other common safety concerns.Join us at MelroseWakefield Hospital in Perkins Lecture Hall.

Breastfeeding Basics (In person)

A companion class to Baby Care Basics! Provides information about child development, ways to play, understanding temperament and more! Baby's First Year is a 1.5-hour class offered remotely via Zoom.
