Lowell General Hospital Hosts Anil Singhal, CEO of NetScout at Business Leadership Forum

Healthy Information Systems Empower Successful, Growing Businesses

February 12, 2010 - Lowell, Mass. - Lowell General Hospital presented its seasonal Business Leadership Forum to inspire greater Lowell area organizations and their leaders with insights into information technology innovations. More than 120 attendees from healthcare, finance, IT and not-for-profit businesses gathered this week to hear keynote speaker Anil Singhal, co-founder, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Westford-based NetScout Systems, Inc. discuss his leading-edge company's role in the technology sector.

"The lifeblood of every business is the applications and services that allow employees to do their jobs in the most productive way possible," said Mr. Singhal, commenting on his presentation. "The healthcare industry has come to depend on IT in a very significant way. IT has significantly transformed how that sector runs and has enabled those organizations to gain significant efficiencies, accelerate patient care, and ensure new levels of patient safety. NetScout takes a similar approach. We are the healthcare provider for the network and applications that enable all types of businesses to provide top level services. Just like healthcare, today's modern organizations need to assure that the proper steps are taken to keep business-critical services running at peak performance. Doing so is key to building and maintaining highly successful businesses."

"The business community in the Merrimack Valley has a vibrant array of small, mid and large corporations that are leaders in their industries. Bringing them together with a series of programs that encourages dialogue and makes connections between them is powerful," says Winfield Brown, Vice President of Administration at Lowell General Hospital who oversees the Business Leadership Forum. "Technology has an impact on all of us and Mr. Singhal's experiences offered many of us food for thought."

Founded in 1984, NetScout Systems, Inc. is the market leader in Unified Service Delivery Management enabling comprehensive end-to-end network and application assurance. The company employs 800 people globally and is headquartered in Westford, Mass.
