23rd Annual Taste of the Town Serves Up Success for Lowell General Hospital
October 27, 2009 - Lowell, Mass. - On Sunday, October 25, Lowell General Hospital's Auxiliary hosted a sold-out event at the University of Massachusetts Inn and Conference Center for the 23rd Annual Taste of the Town. Eighteen area restaurants donated their time, talent and menu items to impress the guests with a variety of fantastic foods and raise $50,000 to support local healthcare.
The group of 420 diners voted for the People's Choice Awards with three different recipients leaving with top accolades. Best Appetizer went to Yazmin's Café Madrid for the coconut shrimp. Best Entrée was awarded to Fishbones for its lobster risotto. And the vote for Best Dessert was last year's winner, I Dream of Jeanne Cakes for cheesecake lollipops.

Joining them are members of the Lowell General Hospital Auxiliary committee who sponsors the annual event to raise funds for Lowell General.
Through the generosity of the following restaurants the event was a spectacular success: Aramark, Bailey's Bar and Grille, Bella Italia, Bianco's Catering, Inc., Café Madrid, Cavaleiro's Restaurant, Centro Restaurant and Bar, Cobblestones of Lowell, Fishbones, I Dream of Jeanne Cakes, Mirabella's Bakery, Moonstones, Ricardo's Café Tratorria, Saffron Bistro, Sodexo, Sprigs, Two Chefs Are Better Than One, and Westford Grille.
