Interpreter Services

The hospital will provide an interpreter in your language if you need one, free of charge. Please ask the nurse for assistance. For Outpatient, Central Scheduling will make arrangements for an interpreter as needed.

Si lo necesita, el hospital le proveerá un interprete de su idioma, libre de cargo. Por favor pida asistencia a la enfermera. Para los pacientes de Servicios Ambulatorios, la oficina Central de Citas le organizará un interprete si es necesario.

Portuguese

Se necessitar de um intérpreter o hospital providenciará gratuitamente um intérpreter que fala a sua língua. Por favor, solicite assitência do enfermeiro(a). Para pacientes que não estejam internados, o Departamento de Marcação "Central Scheduiling", providenciará intérpreters automaticamente quando necessário.

Interpreter Services
Interpreter Services are available to all patients free of charge 24 hours a day. Interpreters facilitate communication for better understanding between patients and providers as well as clarify when cultural differences arise. In-house interpreters for Spanish, Khmer and Portuguese are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Per Diem interpreters for the following languages are available by appointment:

Dual hand-set phones are located on each patient unit for Telephone Interpreter Service. Agency interpreters for other languages may be booked with advanced notice.
