MOLST: Medical Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment

Medical orders for life-sustaining treatment (MOLST) is a health decision-making process for seriously ill patients that stipulate wishes for life-sustaining treatment based on the patient's current condition.

MOLST is described as a process and a medical order form, developed to ensure that persons with advanced illness will have their decisions regarding life-sustaining treatments known, communicated, and honored across all healthcare settings.
