About Us

Lowell General Hospital's Occupational Medicine provides a variety of services to employers, municipalities and insurance organizations throughout the Merrimack Valley. From workplace injury treatment and management, to pre-placement examinations and drug testing, the Occupational Medicine team provides comprehensive, high quality occupational health services for your employees.

The Occupational Medicine Program is conveniently located at our Lowell General Chelmsford Campus located at 10 Research Place, Suite 200, in Chelmsford, MA.

Patient Appointment Information

Appointments are required for all wellness visits; however, initial Workers Compensation injuries and random drug screen appointments can be accommodated on a walk-in basis.

Do I need to have an account established for a DOT, Sport or Wellness Physical?
Please note the Occupational Medicine program accepts self-pay and/or private pay customers. The
program does not accept private insurance. Payment is due in full upon service or is billable with an established client account.

What is the cost for Workers Compensation Care and Management?
There is not any cost to the client or employee. Lowell General Hospital's Occupational Medicine Program is reimbursed at the Massachusetts set state rate.

Where do I send my injured employee after hours?
Your can send your injured employee to the Emergency Department at the Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus at One Hospital Drive or the Lowell General Hospital Main Campus at 295 Varnum Avenue in Lowell.
