Welcoming a New Breast Health Navigator for the Breast Care Program
As a specialist in coordinating the many aspects of breast care, she leads the Breast Health Navigator (BHN) program at Lowell General through the department of Radiology, where diagnosis begins. Her role is to serve as an expert and guide for our patients in all aspects of their breast care. From the time of an abnormal mammogram, the BHN is available, providing education, support and assistance to obtain comprehensive breast care at Lowell General Hospital and other clinical partners.
Jennifer has over seven years of experience as a Physician Assistant, working earlier in her career in the surgery and oncology fields. She comes to Lowell General from the Gillette Center for Breast Cancer at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston where she received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
At Lowell General, she joins the talented team of breast health professionals in radiology, mammography, ultrasound and MR to assist in coordinating patient care throughout the course of their diagnosis – working closely with staff in Pathology, Surgery and at the Cancer Center in assuring the highest quality of coordinated care.
