Beginning on April 6, Lowell General Hospital will be offering free Tdap vaccine clinics open to the public on the first Monday of every month from 5:00-6:00pm in the Hanchett Auditorium at the hospital’s main campus located at 295 Varnum Avenue in Lowell, MA. On December 10, 2014, a Lowell General Hospital employee reported a missing portable USB drive that we subsequently learned contained a limited amount of patient health information. Heart CT Calcium Scoring Helps Detect Heart Disease

The first sign of coronary artery disease is calcification — calcium deposits in plaque on the inside walls of your arteries. Using a special imaging technique called high-speed CT, plaque and calcification are measured, yielding what’s called a cardiac calcium score.
