For over 50 years, routine use of the Pap test to screen for cervical cancer has reduced deaths from the disease by more than 70%. A Pap test is a standard way healthcare providers can check to see if there are any changes in the cervix that might cause concern. Lowell General Sun Santa Raffle Sets New Record

Forty lavish gift baskets were created and donated by different hospital departments from both Lowell General Hospital's Main Varnum Avenue Campus and the Saints campus. They were raffled off on Thursday, December 19th in the hospital's Clark Auditorium before a spirited crowd. The sale of raffle tickets to staff, patients and the public yielded more than $57,00, an amount which the hospital matched to produce a total contribution of $115,800 … more
