Construction Update: Patient Parking and Traffic Flow Changes

Construction activity will begin Monday, March 7, at both the front and the rear of the hospital that will impact patient parking and traffic patterns. We will have extra security on hand at both entrances to help direct traffic and parking.

Front/Main Entrance: The handicapped lot in front of the main lobby will be closed beginning Saturday, March 5 at midnight to prepare for re-grading and re-paving activity beginning Monday, March 7. These spaces will be re-located to the Medical Office Building Parking Lot. Extra security will be available to assist patients and visitors with parking and access to the main entrance. We anticipate this phase of construction activity to take approximately six - eight weeks to complete. During this time, you may notice increased noise and vibration, as well as odor from asphalt-related work.

Rear/Employee and Ambulance Entrance: Beginning Sunday, March 6, for approximately a week, National Grid will be working on poles and utilities at the back of the hospital, affecting employee parking and patient/visitor traffic patterns. Please use caution upon entering from Varnum Ave and proceed slowly straight up the hill to designated patient parking areas. Please allow extra time to arrive at your destination, and follow any directions provided by Security Guards.
