Television/Telephone Service

As a service to our patients, local telephone service and television are now offered free of charge.

Television

The following is available from your in-room 26-inch flat screen HD TV:

  • Free Cable TV and Games - Select from a variety of your favorite local channels, Cable TV programming and play interactive games
  • Free Internet Access - Ask to borrow a keyboard or plug in your laptop to the orange Family Port wall outlet near your bedside
  • Hollywood Movies - Unlimited access to on-demand Hollywood movies (titles are available on screen)
  • Closed Captioning - Select the INFO button from the remote (bottom left, purple button); Select "Closed Caption"; Select "OK"
  • Patient & Guest Information - Learn about our hospital, patient care and safety, and information for visitors
  • On-Demand Patient Education - Browse our extensive on-demand Patient Education Video library
  • Guest Services - Communicate with staff and learn about the unique guest services we offer
  • Survey Feedback - Tell us about your stay by filling out an electronic survey. Select "How are we Doing" from the TV Main Menu and follow the on-screen prompts.

Telephone

There are no telephones in the Intensive Care Unit patient rooms, but family members may place local calls from the two courtesy telephones in the ICU waiting area.

Closed Captioning is available on all televisions. TTY/TDD equipment is available upon request.

Telephone Dialing Instructions

  • To reach the hospital operator: dial 0
  • Local calls: dial 9 + telephone number
  • Long distance calls (collect, calling card, third party calls): dial 8 + 0 + 0 + telephone number

Your telephone number will be listed on your phone. Incoming phone service is turned off at 10pm and resumes at 6am to give you uninterrupted rest time.
