CME Confidentiality and Privacy

Confidentiality & Privacy Statement

As part of our accreditation requirements, and because it is the right thing to do, Lowell General Hospital endeavors to maintain the utmost privacy and confidentiality of our Continuing Medical Education (CME) participants. To that end, we adhere to the following procedures:

Program Attendance

An individual's participation in LGH CME programs is kept in strictest confidence. Only the individual participant can authorize release of CME attendance records.

CME Attendance Requests

To ensure veracity, Lowell General Hospital currently requires that participants requesting reports of CME attendance must provide proof of identity.  In person requests are verified via LGH ID badge, or for non-affiliates, a valid driver's license.

Online requests for affiliated personnel require either the last 4 digits of the participant's Social Security #, LGH Physician ID #, or LGH employee ID # (for Nursing and Allied Health personnel). Verification for non-affiliates is handled by telephone using the practitioner's publicly listed office phone number.

Online CME Participation

We recommend using our online CME services from an anonymous computer, such as a public terminal within LGH or at a public library in your area if additional privacy is desired.  Please feel free to use the LGH Library public access computer whenever you are on site.
