Gentle/Moderate Yoga
This class is for people who are either new to yoga, or like to work with a high level of instruction offered in a compassionate manner. Whether you are a brand new beginner or a regular practitioner, Laura's intention is to create a supportive and welcoming environment for each person to receive benefit within a basic yoga practice.
This class will focus on basic yoga philosophy, alignment details for basic postures, basic breathing practices and introductory experiences into meditation and relaxation all taken at a gentle to moderate pace. Yoga works from the inside out....helping to calm the mind, relax the body and gain insight and understanding into our own true nature. Lots of modification are offered out in this class to meet all different sorts of bodies' needs; however, if you are unsure, please feel free to contact the instructor ahead of time to discuss your particular situation.

Tuesdays (7 weeks for $110) from 6:00-7:15pm in Hanchet Auditorium

About the Instructor
Laura Marie, E-RYT500 utilizes the wisdom of ancient yoga and meditation practices as a means to enrich every-day modern life. Laura has certifications as an Integrative Yoga Therapist and Advanced Teacher of Therapeutic Yoga, Professional Level Kripalu Yoga Teacher, and Adaptive Yoga Teacher for MS. She has Level II training in IREST. She has received the designation of E-RYT500 with over 5000 hours of yoga teaching experience at the advanced level. She is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and Kripalu Yoga Teachers' Association. For more information on Laura go to her Website.
