Weekend Prepared Childbirth

Join us for a Weekend

In a faster-paced teaching environment, you will learn all the topics covered in our six-week Prepared Childbirth Class. The class is split into two 4 hour days.

The first day covers information about the physical and emotional changes occurring during pregnancy, labor and delivery, breathing and relaxation techniques, comfort techniques, medication and anesthesia options for labor and delivery and pushing positions.
The second day covers post partum care, newborn appearance and care, infant feeding, an introduction to breastfeeding, circumcision, baby blues/post partum depression, Shaken Baby and SIDS information.

A tour of The Birthplace is included. Our instructors utilize lecture, videos, demonstrations, and group discussions during the course.

The $165 course fee covers the expectant mother and a support person, all materials, a tour of The Birthplace and a snack each day.

Insurance Reimbursement and Financial Assistance:
Many insurance companies offer reimbursement for attending childbirth education classes. Proof of payment and a letter of completion are often required. Letters are given out at the end of each class. Check with your insurance company to see if your plan offers reimbursement.
