Breastfeeding

In this class you'll receive information on how to get started, learn the benefits of colostrum and skin-to-skin, as well as, the value of exclusivity. The class will discuss nutritional needs, positioning and latch, how to know your baby is getting enough, and will dispel common myths. The class will also explore choosing a breast pump, expressing and storing milk and tips for returning to work.

We recommend you attend this class in your seventh month of pregnancy, although you are welcome to join anytime. A support person is encouraged to attend. The fee includes the expectant mom and a support person.

Monday from 7:00-9:00pm in the Hanchett Auditorium at Lowell General Hospital's Main Campus
