One Day Prepared Childbirth

In a faster-paced teaching environment, you will learn all the topics covered in our five-week Prepared Childbirth Class. Topics covered include: information about the physical and emotional changes occurring during pregnancy, labor, and delivery, breathing and relaxation techniques, comfort techniques, medication and anesthesia options for labor and delivery, infant care issues, postpartum depression and the baby blues, SIDS, and the adjustment to parenthood. A tour of The Birthplace is included. Instructors utilize lecture, videos, demonstrations, and group discussions.

The course fee covers the expectant mother and a support person, all materials, a tour of The Birthplace and a snack.

Insurance Reimbursement and Financial Assistance

Many insurance companies offer reimbursement for attending childbirth education classes. Proof of payment and a letter of completion are often required. Letters are given out at the end of each class. Check with your insurance company to see if your plan offers reimbursement.
