Clinical Trials

Clinical Trials are research studies in which people help doctors find ways to improve health and study current methods in cancer care. Each study tries to answer scientific questions and find better ways to prevent, diagnose, or treat cancer.

In collaboration with Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Lowell General Hospital offers our patients clinical trials. These trials are available to qualified patients who meet the study guidelines set by the study group. According to a recent survey, most people with cancer were unaware or unsure that participation in clinical trials was an option for their treatment, and most of them said they would be willing to enroll had they know it was possible.
