Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of American men and women, claiming the lives of nearly 2.4 millions Americans each year. That's more lives than the next 7 causes of death combined, and nearly twice as many as all forms of cancer, including breast cancer. Lowell General Hospital is pleased to announce a partnership with the American Heart Association for the "Learn & Live" campaign, a year-long effort promoting heart disease awareness in the Greater Lowell community. Through this innovative campaign, Lowell General Hospital will aid in educating and increasing the awareness of heart disease, our nation's number one killer.
