Critical Care Services
Critical care services offer an intense level of monitoring and specialized care to those patients who are critically ill or injured and those who have undergone advanced medical procedures such as cardiovascular procedures.A team of highly trained, experienced critical care professionals, doctors and nurses, staff the state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit, the newly renovated Intermediate Care Unit, as well as interventional cardiac care services.
Our critical care team works seamlessly with the Emergency and Cardiac Services departments to deliver time-sensitive assessments, diagnoses and treatment needed to help those who are in critical condition. They work closely with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, surgeons and other specialists in the hospital to help bring each patient the specific care needed for their condition.
Special areas of service include:
- Interventional cardiac care recovery
- Management of shock and cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Respiratory failure
- Multisystem organ failure (including renal and hepatic)
- Sepsis (infection)
- Central nervous system crises (including strokes)
- Acute coronary syndrome management and cardiac rhythm disturbance
