The Angioplasty Team

The angioplasty team at Lowell General is a highly trained staff of experienced cardiologists, nurses and technologists. Lowell General Hospital team members have trained extensively to conduct primary angioplasty techniques and patient care. The Angioplasty Coordinator is Allayne Mendys, RN, BSN, a 20-year veteran of Lowell General Hospital. The advanced cardiac team includes James Waters, MD, FACC, Omar Ali, MD, FACC, and Mohan Govindan, MD, FACC and Kirk MacNaught, MD, FACC, board-certified cardiologists trained in interventional cardiology. Joined by the hospital's experienced staff of cardiac critical care nurses and registered radiological technologists RT(R), the angioplasty team of the Heart Center at Lowell General Hospital holds the experience and skill to care for some of the most complex cardiology procedures available anywhere.
