In support of our mission statement "Patients first in everything we do," the Health Science Library can be used by patients of Lowell General Hospital and their families or residents of Greater Lowell within our service area who are seeking personal health information (not for business purposes).
Additionally, the Lowell General Hospital Health Science Library can be used by any Lowell General Hospital staff member for hospital business as well as for personal health concerns. Information requests are always welcome, including but not limited to clinical queries, assistance with research, and requests for materials suitable for patients.
Location
The Health Science Library is located on the third floor of the Hanchett Building. From the Information Desk (main entrance), go through the entrance, take a LEFT. Follow the corridor, which turns to the RIGHT. Go halfway down the corridor to the elevator on the RIGHT. Go to the THIRD FLOOR. Once there, take a LEFT. We are through the doors to the RIGHT.
Hours
The library is currently staffed Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. When there is serious need, the library can be used by authorized individuals after hours by contacting Security.
The Lowell General Hospital Web Library is available 24/7 for your health information needs.
