Star Performer, Angel SantanaRespectful, collaborative, pleasant - truly a valuable asset to LGH," is how co-workers describe Angel Santana, our May Star Performer of the month.

Angel began his career at LGH in November of 2004 as an OR Technician, then joined the Information Services Team in 2007. As Lead Clinical Application Analyst, Angel assists with the design and implementation of new computer application systems throughout the hospital. His responsibilities include running meetings, conducting presentations, status updates, estimating, tracking and planning.

He is known as an integral part of the team, and serves the technical needs of many departments throughout LGH. He is known for his dedication to his co-workers and the users he supports.

"Angel has a high energy level and working with him on a daily basis is always an adventure," says co-worker Maureen Labine. He is quick to acknowledge a job well done and his door is always open to support his team."

Karen Cook, Supervisor, Central Scheduling, describes Angel as a "pro in his field", whose hands-on assistance with the implementation of ELMER went far above and beyond everyone's expectations. "He always does his best to work with you on any issue, and throws himself into it 100% - always with a smile," says Karen.

"A true professional through and through, with a sunny personality that brightens up our office," says supervisor Clemence Nadeau. "He comes to work everyday with a positive attitude and lots of energy, and serves as a mentor to many staff members."

Angel lives in Lowell with his wife Sue, Magnet Coordinator at LGH. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and riding his motorcycle.
