Nicole Nutt

The Cancer Center

Star Performer, Nicole Nutt"She would ‘give the shirt off her back' to anyone in need without batting an eyelash," is how co-workers describe Nicole Nutt, our April Star Performer of the Month.

Nicole began her career at LGH thirteen years ago, first in the Medical Records Department, then moving to The Cancer Center in May 2002. Nicole's flexibility and commitment to our patients is evident as she performs a dual role at The Cancer Center, both assisting the Radiation Oncology Department as a Medical Records Clerk, and also services as Clinical Assistant to Muto Gynecological Oncology practice.

"Nicole makes the best impression in all situations," says Claudia Rupp, RN, Director of Cancer and Pain Services. "She is judicious in carrying out assignments without direction and handles patients and visitors with grace and tact."

"Even though she juggles a variety of responsibilities, Nicole completes every task with the utmost importance, and always wears a smile," says Sherry Roberge, BSRT(R,T), Chief Radiation Therapist. She's known as a real ‘go-getter,' dedicated to patient satisfaction both on the phone and face-to-face," says Sherry.

Co-worker Kathleen Stone says Nicole is well-liked and respected by physicians, staff, patients and their families, and was recently singled out in a Press Ganey patient satisfaction survey for her compassion and concern. "Nicole puts together the holiday gift baskets for families at Thanksgiving and Christmas, just to make sure they have a wonderful holiday," says Kathleen. "As busy as she is, she never rushes with a patient and never puts herself first, and the patients just adore her."

Nicole lives in Lowell with her husband and has four children. She enjoys attending their sporting events, hosting tea parties with her youngest daughter, reading, and quilting.

Congratulations, Nicole. You're a Star!
