Testimonial - Two Girls and a Lemonade Stand

It might be hard to imagine how a glass of lemonade could make a difference in the life of a Lowell General Hospital patient. But just ask Jordan and Rachel, best friends and 10 ½ years old, and they'll tell you.

Last summer, between doing the things every child likes to do on school vacation, the friends decided to set a goal of raising money for a local charity. They held lemonade stands, did odd jobs for neighbors and saved their allowances. Every time they got together, they each made a contribution to their "charity bucket." At the end of the summer, their parents matched the girls' savings and Jordan and Rachel presented Lowell General with a wonderful and thoughtful gift.

In their letter to Lowell General Hospital, Jordan and Rachel said, "It's great knowing we can help make a difference! We are glad we could help." And we're glad to know that young people like Jordan and Rachel are thinking of others in their community. Thank you girls!
