First Responders Fitness Challenge

Calling all First Responders!

Lowell General Hospital will be hosting a three month fitness challenge for the First Responders in the Merrimack Valley. The winners of the challenge will receive a GRAND PRIZE of $500 dollars per person. The winners will be judged on an overall average for healthy weight and a healthy Body Fat percentage.

We will have a reception at the end of the challenge to celebrate all that have participated. 

Challenge Steps:

  • Step 1: Develop a Team (5-10 people) and appoint a Team Captain
  • Step 2: Contact Amanda Kiernan to get a registration form to register your team (contact information below)
  • Step 3: Schedule your Teams 1st Check-in (this can be done at the Lowell General Hospital or at a convenient location for the teammates)
  • Step 4: Have your team members do a weekly weigh in. Submit your weekly weigh-in numbers to Amanda Kiernan every Friday via email
  • Step 5: Schedule your final Check-in with (this can also be done at the Lowell General Hospital or at a convenient location for the teammates)

Challenge Rules:

  1. Teams must be a minimum of 5 participants and a maximum of 10
  2. Each team must have a Team Captain
  3. Team members must be a first responder (Fire Fighter, Emergency Service Personnel, or Police Officer)
  4. Teams must submit weekly weigh in numbers (Fridays by 3:00pm) 
  5. Teams must schedule a monthly check-in to collect weight and body fat percentage information with The Center of Community Health and Wellness
  6. All teams must submit a registration form
