Helen Perron, MT, Laboratory Support Specialist

Laboratory Services Department

“Helen is always positive and such a true team player! When seeking her assistance, she drops everything to focus on others’ needs and concerns even though she is managing some very complex and important work herself,” say co-workers of Helen Perron, June’s Star Performer of the Month.

Helen has been a valuable staff member of Lowell General Hospital for 27 years. For the past two years, she has been working in the Laboratory Services Department as a Laboratory Support Specialist. Helen goes above and beyond for her staff and clients on a regular basis. Her knowledge base of everything lab is impressive, and she is a great person to have on any project.

A true moment of stardom was demonstrated by Helen when the Laboratory Services Department went live with ELMER at the Saints campus. Helen took full ownership of helping the staff feel more comfortable during the go live and even temporarily moved her office to provide support. She adjusted her schedule to help with the training, implementation and follow-up needed to make it a successful transition for Lowell General Hospital’s employees and patients.

“Helen is a huge help to me and to the Laboratory Department as a whole,” says Leslie Davis, Director of Laboratory Services. “She consistently asks if there’s any way she can help others. Helen has such a well-rounded knowledge of the Lab and ELMER that she’s become our go-to person for investigating issues and working through them with Cerner. We are so lucky to have Helen on our team.”

Helen lives in Townsend with her husband Kevin and their German Shepard, Smokey. When she is not working, she enjoys bird watching and playing Keno at one of her favorite restaurants, Bootleggers.

Congratulations Helen! You’re a Star!
