January 2014

Jan Conway, LPN

Cancer Care Associates, Main Campus

"Jan is committed to providing the best care possible to our patients and their families, and her passion for her work is apparent in all she does," is how co-workers describe January's Star Performer of the Month, Jan Conway.

Jan works as an LPN at The Cancer Center. She has always been known for her cheerful and infectious laugh that can be heard each and every day. In addition to caring for patients, Jan has also taken on the responsibility as the representative for Cancer Care Associates during the upcoming ELMER implementation in The Cancer Center.

Jan is known for treating all her patients as if they were members of her own family. She is the first to congratulate them on their progress and also the first to acknowledge staff with a job well done, birthday or other special celebration. Jan also makes sure that all members of the team stay connected when a colleague needs support.

Jan administers the Sunshine Fund, which is used to celebrate special occasions and make donations to various organizations needing assistance, such as the devastating typhoon in the Philippines. All of her co-workers are in agreement when they say the one thing that everyone loves about Jan is her willingness to give from her heart, never asking for anything in return.

Jan lives in Dracut with her husband Jim. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, visiting her parents in Florida, scrap booking, reading and riding her scooter.

Congratulations Jan! You're a Star!
