Narong Chan

Patient Access, Meeting House Road

"A GREAT attitude is what defines Narong! He always remains calm and compassionate and is always listening, his presentation to our patients is what makes him a star." This is how co-workers describe the Patients First attitude of Narong Chan.

Narong started working at Lowell General in 2006 in Dietary Services, working with patients and in the cafeteria. For the past three years, he has worked at the Lowell General Laboratory Services location at Meeting House Road in Chelmsford where he registers patients for blood work. He is able to use his bilingual skills in English and Khmer to communicate with patients in order to provide them with the best possible service.

The staff at the Call Center at Lowell General Tyngsboro could not say enough about Narong's open and honest personality, and strong sense of communication that is a tremendous asset to the Khmer speaking patients.

"Narong's compassion and sincerity with all of Lowell General Hospital patients makes such a lasting positive impact," says Anabella Silva, Manager. "He is a valuable member of our team – always helping others wherever he can. Narong is the co-worker that everyone wants to have. He displays empathy and kindness on a consistent basis."

Narong lives in Lowell and enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music and playing football and basketball.

Congratulations Narong! You're a Star!
