Marie Voltaire"She takes pride in her work and continually shows a collaborative effort with multiple departments," is how co-workers describe Marie Voltaire, our March Star Performer of the Month.

Marie began her career here at LGH in 2002 in the Finance Department and currently works as a Senior Application Analyst in Information Services. In her role, she conducts system implementation, including upgrading, testing, troubleshooting, application and process evaluation, as well as serving as subject matter expert on certain applications. She is known for her efficiency, attention to detail, and always keeping the departments she serves up to date on projects.

She works closely with the Finance Department on the management of the hospital's 'chargemaster' (hospital's patient billing system) which involves updates to both Cerner and Paragon so that the two systems talk to each other.

I have been so fortunate to work with Marie for several years," says Kathy Mancuso, Manager of Budget and Reimbursement. "Some of my computer issues can be difficult and frustrating to resolve, but Marie always shows incredible patience and a positive attitude."

"Marie is an extremely hardworking individual who can be relied on," says Maureen Belley Director of Information Services. "She often works weekend hours to meet time-sensitive deadlines. For example, the start of each fiscal year on October 1st. Marie usually ends up working extra time, which unfortunately coincides with her birthday. She adjusts her schedule to meet the requirements of the Lowell General team."

Marie lives in Lowell with the youngest of her three children, Victor, and looks forward to spending time visiting her daughter and grandchildren that live in Texas. She enjoys dancing, walking, playing tennis, and other outdoor activities.
